Arcadia

The Romanian Association for International Cooperation and Development – ARCADIA- is a professional organization with the mission to support the consolidation of a professional community in the field of international development so as to facilitate the further strengthening and relevance of the field.

As an independent non-profit organization, ARCADIA offers a neutral space for interaction and analysis of international development related issues at the same time emphasizing Romania’s engagement with its international partners and debating on its role as an international donor. We believe that exercising responsibility in an informed manner within the current international society is possible only through sustained high quality professional and academic debates, anchored in today’s global challenges, practices, and innovative approaches.

In order to fulfil its mission, ARCADIA engages individuals, organizations and institutions from Romania and abroad that are active in the field in order to organize conferences, training sessions, and workshops, to publish a review, to offer scholarships and research grants, and to facilitate mentoring and academic counselling.
